Lucknow: Jal Shakti Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Swatantra Dev Singh reached Ballia/ Mau/ Azamgarh district and inspected the flood projects and also gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials.
Swatantra Dev Singh first inspected the newly constructed spur at 62.375 km of Turtipar Srinagar embankment built on the right bank of Saryu river in Ballia district and the new projects between 62.850 km to 63.000 km. The officials present informed the Minister that due to the work done under the projects, the Saryu river stream is being diverted, due to which the embankment is safe and sufficient reserve stock is kept on the embankment.
While talking to the journalists, the Jal Shakti Minister told that after the completion of the work of these new ongoing projects, all the embankments of Ballia district will be completely safe.
After this, Swatantra Dev Singh reached Mau Doharighat district and did a field inspection of the project of restoration of anti-erosion work for the protection of Muktidham (cremation ground). And after this, the Jalshakti Minister also did a field inspection of the mobile flood project located at km 28.500 and km 28.850 of Mahula-Garhwal embankment in village Hajipur of district Azamgarh, Block Haraiya.
